Why I don't like the SM arc of the Pokemon anime
Hellooooooooo! So I said i would do this post a while back, and i actually wasn't lying. you are entitled to your opinion even if i don't like it. It used to be my friend's favorite arc until she was introduced to the joys of XY and XYZ. also let me say that i do like the SwSh anime. I know it's not that good yet, but i feel like it will get better. I also kind of like it because of FirstFriendShipping (Ash x Go). I mainly like that because it's a gay Pokemon ship with actual evidence. But that's not what this post is about! Let's get into it.
art style. We all know what I'm talking about. They made it into more of a cartoony style, more like western cartoons and not the anime that it is.
Ash. He turned stupid basically. You can call it relaxing, but i don't think that's it. It was like back in the days of Black and White, he decided to not use everything he's learned in past generations. Also his new ways of training. (You know what I'm talking about. The *barfs* Rockruff training.) I have anime PTSD (all the weebs have it, don't deny it)!
character development. No one had it except for Lillie and her family. Ash stayed stupid throughout the entire thing and most of the characters had attention taken away from them. Okay, never mind, Lana had some development. But I'm talking about characters like Mallow that their character development just came to a stop.
the lack of movies set in the Alola region. Okay, this is just bad. I have anime PTSD from Mewtwo Strikes Back: Evolution. The theme song remix. Okay, that's not what this post is about. We needed some more stuff in the Alola that actually had a plot, not those filler episodes.
So that's my list. I think they are all good reasons that can be backed up with evidence. bu bye!
